Dr. Rajeshwari Hegde

“Dr. Rajeshwari Hegde completed her Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, Master of Engineering in Electronics from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore and PhD from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore. She was Head of the dept, Telecommunication Engineering at BMSCE during 2016-2019. Currently, she is working as a professor in the same dept.

She has published more than 125 technical papers in reputed international and national conferences and journals and also won best paper awards for her papers presented in international conferences.
She has guided more than 120 B.E projects and one of the teams guided by her received a prize in the national level project contest organized by Texas Instruments.
She is one of the 10 worldwide expert panel for reviewing BETA-Test phase of the Version 2 MSP430 Teaching ROM for Texas Instruments, Dallas, and the University of Beira Interior, Belgium.
She received 14.3 lakhs Rs from AICTE, New Delhi for her project proposal titled “Modernization of Signal Processing and Embedded Systems Lab” and as a co-investigator Rs 2 lakhs for the project “Analysis of Brain Signals to evaluate the effect of Meditation in controlling Negative Emotions using Intelligent Systems” under TEQIP Competitive Research Grant, VTU, Rs 93, 000 from AICTE-ATAL for the conduction of a FDP on “Smart City Solutions for Sustainable Future” in the year 2021.
She is a technical reviewer of various International conferences and journals and also the editorial board member of reputed international Engineering journals.
She received Prof Indira Parikh 50 Women Education leaders’ award in 2018. She also received RULA International award 2018 titled “Excellent Researcher” for her contribution to research and co-curriculum.
She received Dewang Mehta National Education award for her contribution to education in September 2018. She also received Havyaka Sadhaka Rathna for academic achievements in December 2018. She received IRSD preeminent Academic Leader award by Green ThinkerZ, India during 5th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research for Sustainable Development 2020 (Virtual IRSD 2020) Organised by Green ThinkerZ in association with Western Sydney University, Australia and Wakelet – Manchester UK on 25th December 2020. She also received a certificate of appreciation from Texas Instruments for fostering the ecosystem, bridging Government, Academia and Industry. She is a certified Heartfulness meditation trainer and conducts meditation sessions regularly at BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore, India.”
