Dr. Pankaj Kumar is a resident of Rani Kothi Deoghar, Jharkhand, originally belongs to Bheja, Madhubani Bihar. His father Sri Rajendra Choudhary and Mother Shashikala Devi was school teacher in the government high and middle school respectively. Pankaj did his initial studies at GS School and R Mitra high school. From childhood, he has had an interest in math and science. He was closely associated with Ramkrishan Mission ( Sukhen Maharaj) and developed spiritual as well as ethical attitudes at an early age. He got his intermediate degree from Deoghar college Deoghar. He did his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from PIT. Here he was renowned for hard work and knowledge. After Bachelor, he qualifies for the Gate and joined the National Institute of Rourkela Orissa for MTech in Mechanical engineering. He inclined for the research and published an international conference on microfluidics. His Master’s thesis has been recognized more than 10 times across the globe. After Master degree he joined an institution as an Asssitant Professor but he continue his research thrust. He got married in Nov 2019 to a girl name Arpita who become a source of his inspiration in the later stage. He was blessed with two sons, Shresth in 2010 and Subhansu in 2017 . In search of a good environment to flourish his research career, he applied for a Ph.D. interview at IIT and was selected in IIT Madras under HTRA Scholarship. During PhD, a lot of hurdles came but he constantly fight and succeeded. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras from the Department of Mechanical engineering in June 2017. He joined as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Chennai in June 2017. His research area includes cavitation, two-phase flows, microfluidics and atomization. He has published more than 35 research articles in international journals with more than 150 google scholar citations. He had filed five patents in his research area and out of which one is granted. He is the author of five books/chapters published by international publishers (ASME/ Springer).
