Dr Mamta Parikh

Dr. Mamta Parikh is an Associate Professor at Shri V M Mehta Institute of Ayurved, Anandpar, Jamnagar. She has done her Graduation and Post – Graduation from the reputed Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar. She completed Yoga Teacher’s Training Course Level 1 & Level 2 in October 2010 at Glasgow, Scotland by Patanjali Yogpeeth (UK) Trust. She has also completed a certificate course in Transcendental Medicine in April 2011 from Maharishi Charak Ayurveda Samsthan, Delhi. She was associated with Zandu Pharmaceuticals as a Research Associate from May 2007 to May 2008. From January 2009 to September 2011, She was associated as an Ayurvedic Consultant with Nature and Herbs (UK) Ltd, at Glasgow, Scotland, where she conducted various workshops like Stress Management, Weight Management and How to Live Healthy and Balanced Life by using Ayurveda & Yoga in daily life. She also conducted some tutorials for Ayurvedic Cooking at various places in UK i.e. Perthshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Birmingham. She also presented her views as a representative of Patantaji Yogpeeth (UK) Trust, in a meeting hosted by Lord King and arranged by Amarjeet S. Bhamra on the imminent, European Union Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products Directive (2004/24/EC THMPD) at the House of Lords, Westminster, London. . Her Article – Ayurveda – science of life – published in an information booklet for Yoga Health Therapy Centre in August 2008 at Perthshire, Scotland and she also delivered a lecture on Introduction to Ayurvedic (Indian Traditional Medicinal system) medicine in a workshop organized by a Yoga Health Therapy Centre, Perthshire. Her advice as an expert was published in the magazine Your Healthy Living in June 2010 issue http://www.yourhealthyliving.co.uk/Magazine.aspx. She won the prize for the Best Poster Presentation at “National Seminar on Quality Control and Standardization of Metal Based Siddha and Ayurveda Medicine” at Thanjavur. She published three original research papers in renowned International Journals. She has actively participated in various workshops and seminars of Ayurveda, Yoga, Teaching methodology and Research. She also served as a Production Manager at GSFDC (Gujarat State Forest Development Corporation) from December 2013 to November 2014. Since December 2014 onwards she is associated with a reputed academic Institute of Gardi Vidyapith, Anandpar as a Teaching faculty. Apart from her duties she also inspires and motivates students for Research and for their further career planning. She successfully organizes various curricular & co-curricular activities and events at Gardividyapith Campus.
