DR. NIYATI DAS

Prof. Dr. Niyati Das, an accomplished academician & academic administrator with more than 29 years of experience in strategic excellence in Professional and patient care education. Currently she is the Principal of Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences, KIIT University. Her intellectual capabilities are manifested in distinction as PhD in nursing. She is a visionary, inspirational, pragmatic, energetic and engaged leader with a deep commitment to provide quality education. She started her career as a staff nurse, after that she put her steps in academics. She is the editorial member & reviewer of several reputed national & international journal, author of many articles and books related to Nursing. She also have an active association with different societies and Academics around the world. She has received several awards for the contributions in Research. Apart from various publications, she has organized many National & international conferences, workshops & seminars. She has chaired many session as a resource person and scientific paper presenter in various international and national conference. She is a prolific writer and has published a pediatric nursing book.
For her noteworthy contribution to Patient care, she has received “Best Nurse Award” from Rotary Club New Horizon. She is also actively involved in different social outreach programs of KIIT University. She is a prolific public speaker, who has delivered numbers of keynote address and lecture in diverse fields of education. As a distinguished academician, Dr Niyati Das has been entrusted with important roles in many academics & professional bodies of the country like member of Board of study, SOMI, TNAI, NRSI and many more. She is a lady having multidimensional quality. She guides many UG and PG students on their way to excellence. Above all, she has brought decisiveness, a strong commitment to quality, diversity, belongingness and exceptional leadership to path forward.
