“Jeykishan Kumar K (Member, IEEE) received the B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of technology (NIT), Trichy, India and M.Tech. in Energy Studies from Indian Institute of technology (IIT), New Delhi, India, in 2013 and 2016 respectively. In 2016, he joined the Central Power Research Institute, Bengaluru, India, as an Engineering Officer in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Division. He received Young Scientist Award for Contribution and Honorable Achievement in Innovative Research in International Research Awards on Science, Health and Engineering (SHEN) Research Awards 2020 on 3rd July 2020. His research interests include LED’s and their photobiological hazards, solar PV modules, solar grid tie and standalone inverters, grid integration of renewables, electric vehicle supply equipment and Electric vehicle charging infrastructure. As on June 2021, he has authored and co-authored 17 internationally reputed journal and conference papers in these areas in the past 3 years. Mr. Jeykishan Kumar K is a Regular Reviewer for the several IEEE, IET, Springer, other journals and conferences.
He has carried out a research project on day ahead solar forecasting for moderate climatic zones as a co-project investigator during 2016-2020 and a project on establishing the state of the art, unique and India’s largest test facility for grid tied inverter testing up to 500 kW capacity. He is also involved in the establishment of test facilities in CPRI, Bengaluru campus for energy efficient motor testing, LED testing across 4 different places in India and solar photovoltaic module testing.
He is also a member of various organizations and societies such as IEEE Sight (2019-2021), IEEE PES Society (2019-2021), IEEE PELS Society (2020) and IEEE Smart Grid Community (2021), IEEE Council on RFID (2021), IEEE Council on Superconductivity (2021), IEEE Sensors Council (2021), IEEE Systems Council (2021), International Association of Engineers (since 2017), International Society for Development and Sustainability (since 2017) and International Association of Innovation Professionals ( since 2017). He is a member of standard making bodies such as SIRFN DER Test protocol working group, IEEE P2004/D2 working group and Standards & Quality Control Division of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt. of India. He is also a Life time Member, Institute for Engineering Research and Publication (IFERP) since 2021.”
