I am Dr. Prabir Ghosh from Tripura, one of the North-Eastern States of India. I graduated in economics from Tripura University and pursued my Ph.D. in International Economics from the same university. I started working as researcher in University Grant Commission’s research project WTO and its impact on small scale sector with special reference to Tripura. I worked in the research area of India Bangladesh border trade and World Bank’s livelihood project in North-East India. I also have worked in Government of India’s skill India mission. I have published research papers in competitiveness and export potential products from North East India. I also have interest to work in rural development. I was born and brought up in rural India, so it always gives me pleasure to work for the development of rural area. I have 4 more siblings (3 sisters and 1 brother) and I am the youngest son of may parent. I feel always happy that my parent are not highly educated but they always supported in attaining my goal. I am married to Smt. Shamalima Bhattacharjee who is a post graduated teacher of English in a govt. school. Her Alma-mater is Tripura University and she was gold medalist for two times from the same university. My hobby is gardening and playing cricket. It was a time when I used to stuck to TV when Sachin and Sourav were on. I spent my childhood playing many traditional Indian sports which are rarely seen at present times.
