Dr. VENGATESH PANNEERSELVAM is currently working as SCIENTIST-B in Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Arignar Anna Govt. Arts College, Villupuram (affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University) in 2007 and his Master of Science in Chemistry from Bharathidasan University, Thiruchirapalli, India in 2011. He started his research career as Research Associate – I in Syngene Int. Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore where he worked from 2011 to 2013. Then he moved on to Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi and worked as Project Assistant in superhydrophobic metals from 2013 to 2015. Later, he joined as Junior Research Fellow in Centre of Excellence for Energy Research, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in 2015 and pursued his Ph.D studies under the guidance of Dr. T.S. SHYJU in the field of Perovskite Solar Cells. During the doctoral studies, he has published 14 research articles and 2 conference proceedings in internationally reputed journals, 1 patent and 1 book chapter which add to his research credit. Totally, he has 10 years of research experience. He also got an opportunity to present a part of his work in PSCO-2019 conference, held at EPFL, Switzerland with the help of the ITS grant supported by DST-SERB. He has also presented his work in several international/national conferences, workshops and seminars. His major research interests are oxide solar cells, perovskite solar cells, nitrides based solar cells and metal chalcogenides based thin film solar cells.
