My name is Gaurang Telang, and I am a final-year master’s student in biotechnology at Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (DPU), Pune, India. In my B. Tech in biotechnology I have worked on dental pulp stem cells and immunology; I have developed a passion for understanding the role of T cell subsets and their underlying interactions in various malignancies and am incredibly interested in pursuing research in this rapidly growing field of immuno-oncology. I also work as a research assistant at Logical Life Science Pvt. Ltd., where I have worked across disciplines with doctors on oral squamous cell carcinoma, endometriosis, and other types of cancers. Recently I also collaborated on a review paper on breast cancer angiogenesis. I am also familiar with flow cytometry and data analysis, along with scientific writing. Moreover, I also make scientific illustrations and comics, specifically on immunology. I am also familiar with the T cell subsets including immune escape and T cell exhaustion. I have worked on human blood and tissue samples such as biopsies of endometrial, kidney, oral tissues along with urine samples from acute kidney injury patients.
